The Story Begins
Jesus heard sad news about John the Baptist He wanted to go somewhere quiet to pray He took a boat across the Sea of Galilee But the crowds followed him on foot
Think About It
Why do you think the people followed Jesus? What might they have needed from him?
Jesus Shows Compassion
When Jesus saw the large crowd, he felt sorry for them Many people were sick and needed healing Jesus spent the day teaching and healing people He showed love and kindness to everyone
The Problem Appears
It was getting late in the day The people were far from town Everyone was getting very hungry The disciples worried about feeding so many people
What Did They Have?

The Miracle Happens
Jesus took the bread and fish He looked up to heaven and gave thanks Then he broke the bread and gave it to his disciples The food kept multiplying until everyone was fed!
Amazing Results!
Everyone ate until they were completely full No one went hungry There were 12 baskets of leftover food! More food was left than they started with
