📚 Reading Passage: Maya's Garden Adventure

Maya loved spending time in her grandmother's garden. Every Saturday morning, she would help plant seeds, water the vegetables, and pull weeds. Her favorite part was picking the ripe tomatoes because they were so red and juicy. Maya's grandmother taught her that plants need three important things to grow: sunlight, water, and good soil. Maya always remembered to give the plants plenty of water, especially on hot summer days.

One sunny Saturday, Maya noticed something exciting in the garden. The sunflower seeds they had planted two months ago were now taller than Maya herself! The bright yellow flowers were as big as dinner plates and faced toward the sun. Maya's grandmother explained that sunflowers always turn to follow the sun across the sky during the day. Maya decided to measure the tallest sunflower and found it was 6 feet tall. She couldn't wait to tell her friends at school about her amazing garden discovery.
