📖 Reading Passage: Types of Cells

All living things are made of cells.

There are two main types of cells: prokaryotic and eukaryotic.

Prokaryotic cells are simple. They do not have a nucleus. Their DNA is inside the cell. Bacteria are prokaryotic cells.

Eukaryotic cells are more complex. They have a nucleus. The nucleus holds the cell's DNA. Plants and animals have eukaryotic cells.

Some organisms are made of one cell. These are called unicellular organisms. Other organisms are made of many cells. These are called multicellular organisms.

All prokaryotic organisms are unicellular. Eukaryotic organisms can be unicellular or multicellular.
