Music Note Values
Whole note = 4 beats Half note = 2 beats Quarter note = 1 beat Let's clap the rhythms together! Count: 1-2-3-4

Proper Posture and Instrument Holding
Sit up straight with feet flat on floor Hold your instrument with both hands Keep shoulders relaxed Breathe from your diaphragm Good posture helps you play better!

Warm-Up Exercises
Breathing exercises: In for 4, out for 4 Lip buzzing for brass players Finger exercises for all instruments Long tones to build strength Start every practice with warm-ups!

Practice Tips for Success
Practice a little bit every day Find a quiet space at home Use a music stand if possible Start slowly, then speed up Celebrate small improvements! Ask for help when needed
