Musical Form #1: Sonata Form
Like a three-part story: Exposition, Development, Recapitulation Exposition: Introduces the main musical themes Development: Explores and changes the themes Recapitulation: Brings back the original themes
Musical Form #2: Rondo Form
Like a musical circle: A-B-A-C-A pattern The 'A' theme keeps coming back like a chorus New sections (B, C) provide contrast and variety Easy to follow and remember!
Musical Form #3: Theme and Variations
Starts with a simple, memorable theme Each variation changes the theme in different ways Changes can be in rhythm, melody, tempo, or style Like seeing the same person in different costumes!
