Hold scissors with thumb and fingers Cut away from your body Walk carefully with scissors Share tools nicely Ask for help when needed

Step 1: Drawing Our Shapes
Use the template to draw an egg shape Make it as big as your hand Draw two straight legs next to the egg Make legs thick enough to support the bird Use pencil so we can erase if needed

Step 2: Cutting Our Bird Parts
Cut slowly and carefully Follow the pencil lines Turn the foam board as you cut Take breaks if your hand gets tired Ask for help if you need it
