Subtraction means 'taking away' We start with some objects We take some away We count what's left
Let's Count Backwards!
Start at 10 Count backwards to 0 Use your fingers to help 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0!
Using Ten Frames
Ten frames help us see numbers We can put counters in the boxes When we take away, we remove counters Count the empty spaces
