What is Competitive Advantage?
Definition: A unique benefit or feature that makes customers choose one business over its competitors It's what makes you DIFFERENT and BETTER Examples: Lower prices, better quality, faster service, cooler brand Every successful business needs at least one competitive advantage
Why Do Businesses Need Competitive Advantage?
Survival: Without it, customers go to competitors Profit: Unique advantages can charge higher prices or reduce costs Growth: Attracts more customers and market share Long-term success: Protects against new competitors Customer loyalty: People stick with businesses they prefer
Types of Competitive Advantage
1. Price/Cost Advantage (cheapest option) 2. Quality Advantage (best product/service) 3. Product Differentiation (unique features) 4. Brand/Reputation (trusted name) 5.
