Intent doesn't matter as much as impact You might think it's a joke, but if it makes someone uncomfortable, it's not okay

Clear Boundaries at School
Comments about people's bodies are not okay Private or sexual jokes are not appropriate Anything that makes others uncomfortable should stop These rules apply even if friends think it's funny
The Respect Test
Before speaking, ask yourself: Would I say this in front of a teacher or my parents? Would I be okay if someone said this to me? Practice with a partner using these questions
What Respectful Students Do
Talk appropriately in class and at break Shut down inappropriate jokes by saying 'that's not cool' Walk away or change the topic when needed Support classmates who feel uncomfortable Ask for help from teachers when unsure
